Payment is required at the time of booking.

Cancellation policy

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will receive a 50% refund.

If you book and then cancel within an hour, you'll be refunded in full whatever the notice period — for the times you pick the wrong day.

Full refunds are issued automatically when you cancel. A 50% refund is arranged by Deborah, usually within a business day.

Refunds usually reach your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. If the refund follows very soon after payment, your bank may simply remove the original charge instead of showing a separate refund.

If Deborah has to cancel — illness, an emergency, or a technical problem at her end — you'll be offered the next available time or a full refund, whichever you prefer, regardless of notice.

If technology fails and a session can't go ahead or be completed, you and Deborah will find a new time; if it can't be rescheduled, the session is refunded in full.

If you miss a session without letting Deborah know, it is treated as a cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice. If something genuinely outside your control got in the way, tell Deborah — the policy is applied with discretion.

If counselling here isn't the right fit — something Deborah may conclude in a Fit Call, from your intake form, or as you work together — anything you've paid for sessions that haven't happened is refunded in  full.

Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including the consumer guarantees that services be provided with due care and skill.

Medicare rebates

Medicare rebates don't apply to counselling. In practice that means no GP visit, no Mental Health Treatment Plan, and no limit set by Medicare on how many sessions you can have. The fee is $90 a session, flat — the same whether it's your first or your tenth.

If the fee is difficult

A concession rate is available. If the standard fee makes counselling hard to manage, please say so — in the Fit Call or any time after — and we'll work something out.
